John McCauley writes - I'll take rookey luck anytime. Saw very little track
and 1 dropping all morning but did hear a few gobbels and hens at first
light. Then while walking down a logging road about 12:30 PM heard a gobble and moved through very noisy oak leaves as close as I thought I darred. Set up real quick and called with a mouth reed a couple of times and saw one coming. But before he gave me shot he ran back and spent about 10 min. beating up his buddy before coming down the hill to give me a 25 yard shot.
