I moved west to Seattle from Wisconsin in 1993 in search of work and wound up fishing all over the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, and still try to do the same today. I moved to Boise in search of work and wound up getting married to a fanatical fisherwoman, Karianne, in 2003. I have had the luck to teach her all that I know, and spend my time taking fish off the line for her.  My wife and my most recent adventure is that we have a baby boy due in July. Also in the family is my dog, Reagan (Republican Lab).

Steelhead tend to be the passion of my existence and I enjoy fishing with my wife and dog-however I can operate a beer can and thus my job as a salesrep. My challenges have been not finding enough time to work and my friends think I fish to much.

Interests: fishing Trout/steelhead/salmon - taking my rifle for long walks - my dog thinks fishing is better than hunting because I catch more fish! She still hasnt figured out what I do with a bow, other than shoot it a lot.

Favorite quote: "Flyfishing twist's fate like a dream and together with wilderness anything is possible" (who knows who the hell wrote it I just like it!)

I grew up in Seattle, WA where I fished for anything that would bite from the many public docks of Puget Sound to the rivers and streams that flow into it. I have lived in Portland, OR since I started school at the University of Portland in 1997 where I was lucky enough to meet my beautiful wife who puts up with this passion for fishing.  Fishing is a big part of my family as I started with my grandpa, dad and brother fly fishing for trout.  Now we take any chance we get to chase fish anywhere we can but most of the time we are fishing somewhere local with good friends.

I grew up in Troutdale, Oregon.  Fishing has been a big part of my life from a young age living right next to the Sandy River.  My father had me practicing my fly casting skills in my backyard at the age of six.  I caught my first steelhead on the Deschutes River at age seven, and that is when my passion began.  I try to get on the river as much as possible.  I enjoy all kinds of fishing, but currently am enjoying spey fishing.  My other hobbies are pheasant, duck, and turkey hunting.  I have learned that nothing is better than being outdoors with family and good friends.  I am currently an EMT for a ambulance company and live in NE Portland with my wife Laura and black lab Mya.  Tight lines and straight shooting to all!
