7 - Hunted the 07 Deer Bow season in the Jarbidge Wilderness.  Beautiful country.  The wilderness is foot and horse only.  Lots of deer and elk, no monsters.  Did see a 185 class, gave me the slip.  Mostly 130-150 class bucks.  Shots almost daily, if I wanted. Some road access in other parts of the units,  quality is down.  Burns have not helped. Totally void of bucks.  You need to be self contained here.  Closest town is usually 2 hours away. Locals were very helpful. Lots of hunters near the road, hike a mile in, nobody!!! Imagine that. - Scott

10 - We hunted this unit on the September hunt and saw a lot of bucks in the 23 inch range. We hunted from the valley floor to 10,800 feet in the Ruby mountains. Saw deer at all elevations but did not see the size that usually is there. I am not sure if they had a die off of the older bucks last year but we did see a good number of smaller age class. I was able to score on a mid 180's buck at the end of the hunt and felt very fortunate to kill this nice of buck with what we had seen. - Bob
